I also used/use to focus and recompose, but with all the crosstype focus points on this camera, I want to do this less often, minimizing out of focus problems when using a large aperture, which is something I was getting very often with my old 6D. I shoot M when I have everything planned in a controlled environment, like a photo session, but for the casual walkaround I tend to use these modes, as I find them more suitable and agile for my style of photographing. Manual would do the trick, but i want to do this in AV or TV modes. I can quickly scroll the shutter speed up and down for 'exp.compensation' and bracketing. Use a rubber blower to carefully blow away any dust on the surface of the CMOS. The mirror will lock up and the shutter will open. Hold down the
